The Coaching Inn Group

How I brought practical reopening support, training and recruitment together for a growing coaching-inn estate.

The brief

Reopen well. Build capability. Keep it consistent.

Coaching Inn Group was refurbishing properties across its existing estate while bringing newly acquired sites into the business. Each reopening needed experienced hands on the ground, but the work also had to strengthen the teams who would run those properties every day.

I brought together a team to support the reopenings and developed a practical training plan for managers, bar teams and floor teams. My focus was to build guest confidence, technical ability and a common way of working without losing the character of each local property.

The work

Support the opening.
Strengthen the team.

01

Reopening Support

I brought together an experienced team to help properties move from refurbishment or acquisition into live operation. The support stayed close to the practical realities of reopening, where plans, people and guest expectations all meet at once.

02

Training

I developed a structured training plan for management, bar and floor teams. I combined the technical detail people needed to do the job well with the confidence and judgement required to make guests feel properly looked after.

03

Culture

I worked with the teams to create a shared, guest-focused way of working across the estate. The aim was consistency where it mattered, while preserving the personality and local relevance that make a coaching inn feel distinctive.

04

Recruitment

I supported recruitment through an external people resource, helping the group bring the right people into the operation while the existing teams were being developed and each property prepared to reopen.

ONE

The legacy

One way of working.

A stronger foundation for every reopening.

I designed the work to do more than get each property through its opening period. By connecting reopening support, training, culture and recruitment, I gave the teams a practical framework they could continue to use after the immediate project had finished.

That is the kind of consultancy I believe in: close enough to solve the problem in front of me, but structured to leave stronger people and better ways of working behind.

Growing, acquiring or reopening?

Let’s make the next opening stronger.

I can help you bring the operational plan, training and people together so the business is ready for guests and the team is ready for what comes next.
